Once upon a time, I began my real world career in the shoe industry.... I was young and carefree and spent every spare $ on shoes.... (Seriously, I'd shop multiple times a wk for shoes.... bought I won't even tell you how many pairs a month!)
Fast forward to now.... it's been 6 years since I worked in shoes... I've had 2 awesome (and expensive!) kiddos.... and now it's rare that the shoe budget doesn't get eaten up by toddler sized mary janes and too expensive kicks from Stride Rite.
Therefore, I've been lusting over the idea of new boots for a few years... but haven't found anything that I just HAD to have (and that was also in that under $500 price range! I'd never spend that much, of course, it's just that the only really cool boots over the last couple yrs were insanely expensive!) ;)
Anyway, I'm currently rearranging my budget so I can afford these.... ahhhh, they make me happy!
So feast your eyes on them, while I start blogging about a semi-homemade monkey birthday party (and contemplate a part time job at Nordstrom.)
Hi, Elaine,
ReplyDeletethese rock! And, inquiring minds want to know, how many shoes in one month?
Mr. Wonderful understands my "shoe emergencies"... and now a TJMaxx has opened within walking distance in Miami Beach!!!
Swoon... and they are called Naughty Monkey!
ReplyDeleteGreat boots, GREAT name, and a totally acceptable price! Happy Birthday/Christmas/Friday to you :)
ReplyDeleteI know - Naughty Monkey! How did I fail to mention that? :)
ReplyDeleteMiss Bliss.... hmm, let's say for sure never over 20/month? But usually over 10? Can you even believe that? Hey - did you happen to get an email from me awhile back? Just want to make sure it didn't get lost!
Mrs. Sitcom - I love that! It totally will be happy bday/Christmas/Friday to me!
OOOOHHHHHHHH! What a great pair of boots!!! But alas, we now have an understanding...one pair in (new) and one pair out. I would have to give up a pair of shoes to get these (and we decided I never get to use my old running shoes b/c of the way I go through them). What a dilemma!
ReplyDeleteSandra, I'm totally okay with that! It's funny, I've done a 360 when it comes to shoes. Where I used to have the latest and greatest... since having kids, I pick a couple great pairs of shoes and wear them til they FALL APART! I was just telling Mr. Fix-It last night that I'm in big trouble when winter comes... because I wore my heels down to the shank on both pairs of shoes I've been wearing the last couple winters! Time to get rid of them and replace them! (I think I need to win a small lottery....)
